Summer! finished! 2009/31

De vierde sok van de SKP International genaamd Summer! is af. Leuk patroon, niet ingewikkeld met een mooi resultaat. Voor maat 39 had ik 62 gram wol nodig.
Today I finished the fourth sock of the Sock Knitters Pentathlon International named Summer!Really a nice pattern with a great result. I needed 62 grams of wool for shoe size 39.
Heute habe ich den 4. Socke vom SKP International fertig gestrickt. Schönes Muster, leicht zu stricken mit einem guten Ergebnis. Ich brauchte 62 Gramm Wolle mit Schuhgroße 39.

Summer WIP

Vandaag bij de kapper begonnen aan de Summer sok; alweer de vierde sok in de pentathlon van SKP International. Heb de wol die geen wol is maar vooral bamboe, met een beetje nylon hiervoor gebruikt. Het breit enorm lekker en voelt erg zacht aan. Mijn man bracht het voor me mee uit Engeland en het heet Happy van Wendy.

Today I started at the hairdressers the Summer sock; the 4th sock of the pentathlon from SKP International. I use wool without wool, mostly bamboo and a little bit of nylon for this one. My husband brought it with him from a business trip to England and the yarn is called Happy from Wendy. It knits very good and feels very soft.

Samarkand tweede paar 2009/27

Ja ja, het tweede paar is klaar. Eigenlijk is dit paar een stuk kleurrijker dan het eerste paar. Dit keer 40 gram witte wol en 30 gram contrastkleur. Nu nog even afwachten want degene die ze voor haar verjaardag krijgt is nog niet jarig....
Today I finished my second pair of Samarkand socks. I choose to knit this
pattern again to be a brithday present.
I started with a leftover from a Rainforestskein, but that dit not work out
well, because it had also little white stripes in the wool. In the end you could
not see the pattern properly, so I ribbled it.
I started anew with a leftover from a orange-red Trekking XXL and that worked
out fine.

Samarkand tweede paar herstart

De wol die ik als contrastkleur had gekozen, heeft mooie kleuren, maar het patroontje komt niet echt mooi naar voren. Daarom heb ik het uitgehaald en ben ik met een andere contrastkleur begonnen. Ik had nog een rest van Trekking XXL in oranje rood met groene tinten en die brengt het patroon veel beter naar boven. Voor de hiel heb ik één van de hielen uit de hielenKAL van de Sokken en wantenclub van Yahoo genomen; de Hollandse Bandhiel.
And I ribbled it, because the contrasting color did not work out very well in this pattern. I restarted with the rest of the skein with which I knitted the Feenwald pattern of the German Yahoo-list. That wool shows the pattern really nicely. It has oranges, reds and greens.
I choose for the Dutch Bandheel; one of the pattern of the heel KAL of the Dutch Yahoo-list.
Also dieses Mal habe ich geribbeld, weil die Kontrast Farbe nicht klappte. Jetzt habe ich als Kontrast Farbe einen Rest von Trekking XXL, oranien-rot und grüne Farben. Damit zeigt sich das Muster umso besser. Als Ferse habe ich mich entschieden für die Holländischen Band Ferse aus der Fersen KAL der Niederländischen Socken List von Yahoo.

Vandaag ben ik een tweede paar sokken begonnen met het patroon Samarkand. Ik weet nog niet of ik het ook niet ga uithalen. De bol Opal Regenwoud die ik hierbij gebruik, heeft toch nogal veel witte stukken waardoor het patroon minder goed opvalt dan ik zou willen. Eerst maar eens een stuk doorbreien en dan kijken wat ik ermee ga doen...

Samarkand 2009/22

Vandaag heb ik het derde patroon van de Sock Knitters Pentathlon International: Samarkand, afgekregen. Ik had 62 gram wol nodig voor maat 42; 20 gram contrastkleur en 42 gram wit. De boord is gebreid met 2,5 mm, het patroonstuk met 3,0 mm.

Heute habe ich den dritten Sock von der Sock Knitters Pentathlon International, Samarkand, fertiggestrikt. Ich brauchte 62 gram Wolle für Große 42; 20 gram Contrast-Farbe und 42 gram weiß. Nadelspiel 2,5 mm und 3,0 mm für's Muster.

Today I finished the third pattern of the Sock Knitters Pentathlon International called Samarkand. I used 62 gramms of wool for both socks; 20 gramms of the contrasting color and 42 gramms of the creamy white. I used needles 2,5 mm for top and toe, and 3,0 mm for the part with the pattern.

Samarkand WIP

Andrea Krüß-Anders is de ontwerpster van dit patroon Samarkand voor de SKP international-club. Het breit lekker makkelijk weg. Als wol heb ik gekozen voor de crèmewitte Regiabol die ik onlangs in Velburg net achter het hotel Zur Post kocht om klokke acht uur op de dag van ons vertrek naar Nederland. En als tegenkleur een bol van Schoeller & Stahl: Fortissima Colori, Socka Color, met mooi geel, oranje en allerlei tinten bruin.

Andrea Krüß-Anders hat diese Muster Samarkand entworfen für die SKP international-Liste. Ein wirklich schönes Muster zum stricken. Ich habe mich enschieden für krem-weiße Regia Wolle, die ich auf meiner Zurückreise aus Rumanien kaufte in einen Laden nahe Hotel zu Post in Velburg um gerade acht Uhr morgens weil der Bus verreisen wollte. Die zweite Farbe ist von Schoeller& Stahl: Fortissima Colori, Socka Color, mit schönes Gelb, Oranien und mehrere Braunen.

I choose a creamy white from Regia 4-ply, that I bought on my way back from Romania some weeks ago at 8.00 o'clock sharp in a shop behind hotel zur Post in Velburg where we stayed over for the night. The contrasting color is from Schoeller& Stahl: Fortissima Colori, Socka Color with nice yellow, orange and several browns.

Entrelac in Delft's Blauw klaar 2009/13

Vandaag zijn mijn Entrelacsokken van de SKP International klaar! Ik heb ze gebreid met Delft's Blauw van Storm in Wolhalla. Die kleuren zijn echt de bekende Delft's blauwe kleuren.

Heute hab' ich meine Entrelac Socken von SKP International fertig gestrickt. Ich habe sie gestrickt met Wolle "Storm in Wolhalla" Farbe Delft's Bau.

First Entrelac sock finished

De eerste sok van de tweede ronde van de SKP International is af. Dit keer is het een entrelacmotief. Iets wat ik nog niet eerder gedaan heb. Net uitgevonden dat de sok ook past. Mijn dochter H. wilde graag een wat langere boord hebben, dus ik heb 9 rondes entrelacblokjes gebreid. Door de klusen in het huisje van R. duurde het dit keer wat langer, maar ja. Verder heb ik mijn eigen versie van de schuine hiel gebreid en ben ik geeindigd met een ronde teen. Ze heeft maat 41/42 en is nogal lang. Ik heb voor deze sok 35 gram nodig gehad van de streng Storm inWolhalla kleur Delft's Blauw en er is nu nog 65 gram over. De streng kocht ik laatst op de beurs in Zwolle. "Het lijkt wel Delfts Blauw!"; zeggen mensen tegen me. Lachend vertel ik dan dat deze wol ook zo heet....Tijdens het breien van het been had ik 8 bamboenaaldjes in mijn werk zitten. "Brei jij met satéstokjes?" Het is echt een grappig patroon. Op naar de tweede sok.

Gestern war mein erster Entrelac Socke fertig (SKP International) Dieses mal ein Entrelac Muster (Flechtmuster). Sowas hatte ich noch nie gemacht. Weil meine Tochter H. Schuhgroße 41/42 hat und auch etwas länger ist, wollte sie das Bein auch etwas länger. Also habe ich neun Rundes Entrelac gestrickt. Ich brauchte 35 Gramm für diesen Socke von Storm in Wolhalla, Farbe Delft's Blau. Es ist noch 65 Gramm Wolle übrig für den zweiten Socke. Ein wirklich nettes Muster, das ich nicht selber jemals für Socken benutzt hätte

Yesterday evening I finished the first Entrelac sock and I just found out it fits my daughter H. fine. Because I was busy a lot at my other daughter's R. new appartment I did not find a lot of time to knit. My daughter H. wanted the sock to be a little bit longer, so I knitted nine rounds of entrelac. I made my own version of the gusset and a round toe to end it with. She has shoesize 41/42 and is rather tall. It took 35 gramms of the wool I use ( Storm in Wolhalla; Color Delft's Blue) and there's another 65 gramms left from my skein. So on to the other sock... Really a nice pattern, I never knitted before.
